Why Blogging?

I’m not entirely sure at the moment. I am sensing that I need to take some action – any action – to invoke change for the better. That’s the key right there…for the better.

I’ve called this the “View from the Curb” because I am finding that the vision of standing outside, on the sidewalk, gives one more of a feeling of connectedness to what is going on in the world. We all want a better life, more money better job, ideal relationship, bigger house, etc. And I can tell you for certain that it’s not to be found hiding inside. If not literally, we have to be open in our minds and imaginations as to the limitless potential we all possess. We are all in this together, so what better way for me to start down this new path than to take advantage of this medium for exchange.

This blog will express my opinions (of course) and hopefully even be a means for me to share some of my hopes, dreams and desires for the better world I want to create. But I also know that there will be those who do not share my views. I have come to accept that. But I want to make this clear – this blog will not be a place for personal attacks, political diatribe, disrespect, etc. I will dump those replies fast enough to make one’s head spin.

Not to say that I won’t slip occasionally – I might. If so, I take responsibility for those instances and will provide the appropriate mea culpas. I don’t know what this experience will be like, how I may “fit in” or how I’ll like it. But taking some action in a direction to manifest change for the better is better than dong nothing at all.

We are in this together, right? So let’s get this party started…
