“You gotta believe…”
Think about it. We’re in one of the worst economic “situations” since the Depression, and everyone is being tested in some manner. Everywhere you turn, we hear what others think is going to happen – how long it’s going to continue, how high the gas prices will go, how the jobs situation will develop, etc. And most people will take these “beliefs” as their own. After all, if it was read somewhere, or heard on TV/Internet/etc, it must be true, right?
Oh how misguided you are, my friend.
You and I are each 100% responsible for our lives and where we are in this world. We got to this point entirely of our own doing, by following our own beliefs. So, it stands to reason, that the only way we can make effective use of this power to make changes in our world is to use the power of our beliefs. Make sense so far?
If the Wright brothers had not believed in the miracle of human flight, aviation and modern air travel may have developed on an entirely different path…or not at all. If their belief fed the vision they had for something that had not existed in the world to that point, we would still be standing on the ground watching the birds. Their belief brought into existence technology that has widespread applications to this day. All because they chose to believe.
So, let me pose this question to you: If we have this powerful means to alter our lives at our disposal, why do we constantly let the media pundits, politicians, talking heads, talk radio hosts, etc. spew forth their drivel that whips us into such a frenzy that then defines our reality? At our expense, no less!
And, even if you don’t actually ascribe to this mind-set, isn’t even the slightest possibility of this power such a profound improvement over the what we have now worthy of consideration?
If this concept even remotely tests your beliefs, then there is a spark of hope.
But you gotta believe…
