I know I’m not the only person that feels this way…
I am sick and tired of the political crap going on in DC surrounding the present drama-du-jour, our country’s economic standing in the global community. Yeah, it’s about the debt ceiling – mostly. And it is not about the amount of debt we’re leaving for future generations (that number isn’t changing in the immediate future.) This is all about political partisanship, childish bickering, bad economic policy and plain loss of touch with reality. And, when you get right down to it, our electoids are completely ineffective.
I believe their oath says:
“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”
It seems to me that several members of the House and Senate appear to be evading their responsibilities to the public they serve for the purposes of political gain. So, I put the following forth for the public’s consideration:
Let’s put people in those seats that understand the needs of the citizens in this country.
Or, until then, we take away the pay and benefits of the people in office. Why pay them anything? They’re not doing their jobs anyway!
Anyone in office, who is resistant to negotiating an agreement as of right now deserves nothing more than a ticket home – you’re all fired.
Recall them all. Now.
